CI4+ Carbon material evolved from lightweight carbon material CI4. The rigidity and durability have been greatly improved while maintaining the lightness, and a further reduction in size and weight has been achieved.
HAGANE" gears HAGANE" gears are made by pressing a block of metal at a pressure of approximately 200 tons and finishing it to micron-level precision without cutting. This unique technology, known as precision cold forging, produces gears that are hard and tenacious, enabling a smooth winding feel.
Micro-Modular Gear II The Micro-Modular Gear II has evolved through cutting-edge tooth surface design and Shimano's unique manufacturing technology. The new gear also reduces noise and improves the smooth feeling of the gears.
X-SHIP A gear system that efficiently transmits input power and enables stronger reeling. Larger gears, rearrangement of the gear arrangement, and improvements in tooth surface accuracy and support performance enable lighter reeling.
Silent Drive The basic design of the entire body and drive-related parts were reviewed one by one to thoroughly eliminate minute rattles, gaps, and vibrations between parts down to the smallest detail. The new design covers a wide range of parts, including drive gears, worm shafts, worm shaft pins, and worm shaft gears. The new design achieves a new level of smooth rotation performance and quiet winding comfort.
The sliding functional parts that move the spool back and forth are located on the top of the reel body, bringing the center of gravity of the entire reel closer to the angler's hand. This improves the sense of oneness with the rod, reducing fatigue from casting and improving rod operability.
The AR-C spool is lightweighted using Shimano's proprietary processing technology to achieve the dual goals of “trouble-free fishing” and "longer casting distance. The special shape of the spool ring has a “line rectification effect” to ensure excellent line discharge.
LONG STROKE SPOOL The longer width of the spool's thread-wrapping section reduces the amount of line loss in the second half of casting, contributing to improved casting feel and casting distance.
S A-RB The industry's first “passive layer” is formed by “surface modification” to create a bearing that does not attract rust, while the SA-RB seals the sides of the bearing with a rust-resistant material to significantly reduce salt contamination caused by salt recrystallization inside the bearing.
One-piece bail This one-piece ultra-thin bail is made of one-piece molding and is made with the best of cold forging technology to realize extremely hard and scratch-resistant strength. The stepless construction overcomes problems such as line snagging.
