Barcode Butler II is an advanced model released the year after the first Barcode Butler. The shape of the main body is almost the same as Barcode Butler, but the coloring has been changed to black. Barcode Battler is a game where players compete by reading special cards and barcodes on various products. In addition to increasing the upper limit of each parameter, the concept of "profession" has been added to characters, and characters are now divided into "warriors" who can use weapons and armor but cannot use magic, and "magicians" who are the opposite. ・When you read a barcode, it becomes a character or item, and its abilities differ depending on the barcode. A card is also included in this product. The basic rules of the game are life force, attack power, defense power, and special abilities, and the first to reduce the opponent's life force to 0 wins. It has 3 different game modes. C0 mode: An advanced version of the B2 mode of the previous Barcode Butler. A battle between original characters (for 2 players). Unlike the previous game, all characters can now be combined without any conditions. C1 mode: An advanced version of the previous game's COM mode, in which you fight against computer enemies. The character cards are “warrior” and “magician”.
Enter the pair "I" as the main character. It is now possible to read cards other than the dedicated card, but in that case it will be weaker than other modes. This time, you can save data to the main unit. After all, HP does not recover even if you defeat an enemy, and basically HP is no longer added even if you defeat an enemy. Instead, you can recover by using a limited number of medicinal herbs after battle. The number of times you can fight enemies (items and power-ups can only be used before and after the battle) is limited, and dead characters generally do not come back to life, so depending on how you proceed, it is a severe system that can lead to a stalemate. Instead of using items, there are tricks that allow you to combine things that would otherwise be impossible, and revive dead characters (only if your opponent wins with a spellcaster). There are 4 stages in total, and 30 enemies are placed in each stage. There are also two hidden stages. C2 mode: Challenge the enemy card army with the main character card and item card powered up in C1 mode.
